WNBA Composite Power Rankings (2024)

Here are my latest WNBA power rankings, including the current WNBA power rankings and changes in WNBA power rankings over the last week.

Each week, I compile power rankings from a bevy of respected sources across the WNBA handicapping community. Power rankings are designed to identify how many points a team would be favored by against an average team on a neutral field. By calculating the difference in ratings between the two teams (and adjusting for home-field advantage), you can get a ratings-implied spread to compare to the actual spread. Additionally, I’ve provided some comments on WNBA trends and numbers that stood out to me. • The Las Vegas Aces return to being in the top spot in the power ratings as they ride a four-game win streak. These four consecutive wins have not coincidentally come with the return of Chelsea Gray, who has a +51 plus-minus since returning. Las Vegas is now just barely edging the New York Liberty in title odds. Starting tonight (July 2), the Aces have a stretch of eight games in 16 days before the Olympic break, but just one of those games (at Seattle on July 10) comes against a team currently with a winning record. They could easily find themselves closer to the top of the standings by the time the players head to Paris.
